KANY´s Social Community Projects

Premiums generated from fair trade sales are used to complete current projects and to invest in new ones chosen by the different fair trade committees based on beneficiary needs, including:

• Women’s empowerment training
• Improvement of the pre-school infrastructure in the different villages, e.g.:
  • Renovation of kindergartens and primary schools in the areas of Séguié, Yadio and Copa
  • Finalization of accommodations for the teachers in Yadio
• Establishment of digital supermarkets in Copa and Yadio

Improved water supply at Copa

Using the Fair Trade Premium paid by customers, KANY has been able to implement community projects, such as improving the water supply in Copa village.
